Air Force air crew members have a problem with flight scheduling. Crew members are spending excess time and effort performing scheduling tasks, using manual processes and antiquated/outdated tools, while being taken away from their primary missions duties. It is difficult for crew members to access, change and share mission information.
Aviato is Kessel Run's flight operations scheduling application that takes the mission needs, flight crew, and tail availability into account. It eliminates the need for ops and maintenance squadrons to plan missions on an excel spreadsheets, enables collaboration between them, and collects data for time and fuels savings. Currently, it is being tested at 12 Wings in the Air Force. It has a user centered design and we are gathering feedback from users at Offutt AFB, and Osan AFB. CODE. DEPLOY. WIN.
